Warning: Sim Stuff Ahead
So, I've finally got Day One of the BC uploaded. Finally. Once I got past the initial writer's block, it was fairly easy to write. Hopefully the subsequent days will come easy as well.
To a certain degree, I've cheated like mad with this thing. The very first day, when I moved Miranda onto the lot, I set her relationship to 0/0 with all the bachelors. I didn't think it was fair that some of them would have an automatic leg up by the bonus 'roommate' relationship points they get when a new sim moves in.
Since I've been having a 'moving out' scene, what I've been doing is playing the lot to noon, then doing the move out scene. Then, after the loser moves out, I reset the clock back to noon and give everyone a maxmotives. I figure I'm 'stealing' time to do the staged scenes, I may as well make it up to them.
I played Day One back in March, so when I went into the lot yesterday, there'd been some decay on the relationships. I went into SimPE and fixed Miranda back to the same point with all the bachelors that she'd been at when I finished Day One. I plan on playing the rest of the days a bit quicker now, so hopefully that won't be a problem again.
I accidentally 'cheated' on the morning of the second day as well. I knew the first day was a free will day, but I thought before noon, she was supposed to have a chat with each of them. Actually, according to the rules, that's the next morning, not this one. Oh well, this just meant that the two low men weren't at 0/0.
For the most part, I think I did a good job showing the ways in which the various bachelors interacted with Miranda. Farnsworth is actually more outgoing than he's written, but it makes sense when you think of his lack of self-confidence. He's not shy, he's just unsure. Scott's actually not as shy as I wrote him either, but he's got the super nice factor in there. Either way, Free Will was pretty interesting to watch.
( And, since I wanted to show it off, here's the house. )
