Okay, so it's going a little slower than I expected it to. Mostly because work has been unexpectedly busy. We've been working on a lot of disaster imagery from Post-Ike Texas. That all has to be out by the end of this week, so we've been scrambling. This means I don't get any time at work to putz around on personal stuff.

Still, I'm through about 30 slides of writing and its going fairly easily. I also had gaming canceled for Friday, which means I have both Friday and Saturday free. I'm hoping to have it up by Saturday. I really really want it done so I can start talking about it to people. I've almost slipped a couple of times in LJ conversation with people.

I'm thinking about doing that 'countdown' meme that I've seen a few folks do. It looks pretty awesome. In other news, I liked this.

Of course I know you're kidding and that you would never REALLY publically admit that you putz around at work on personal stuff... ;)

RE: the video, HEEE. Nice.
"I forbid you to vote!!"
... drugs and Halo 2? *giggle*
"Poker, or Scrabble, or... porn, whatever, it's none of my business..."

It's a great message too of course, but also highly entertaining so YAY.

I am with you on the Ellen quote. That had me cracking up! Dustin Hoffman though had me smiling the most though, with his bit with the clapboard girl.

I actually really liked this video - although I have seen it on about 6 of my flist entries and pretty much everyone I know is registered to vote.

And putzing around while working - I would never do that...Although techically I am working right now so Doh!

BTW, Jen, I am minorly amused that I am running into you here. You also know Pocky and Ladybrick which kinda freaks me out too. It like we are 6 degrees of separation friends.

Heheh. I met Ladybrick on LJ... or was it sandwich.net? Gawd, it was ages ago. I knew Pocky back BEFORE he was Pocky, in RL! We went to college together and we were in the same anime society. :D

*peers at your LJ info and user pics*
*friends you up* :D

I met Ladybrick through a mutual online friend - he thought that we would click since we are both cel, shoujou anime, and fanfic fans. We did.

Pocky I know from RL too. But from before he was Pocky? Wow! I thought he sprung fully formed from his mother's womb holding a box of the candy. ^_^

I met him at I think either JAFAX III or Katsucon V -- It's been so long. We still work anime cons together which where I really know him.

I've friended you back. You seem to be interestingly snarky. I like that!

Yep. I think I'm the only person on the planet who calls him "Rick" instead of "Pocky". XD

Katsucon 5... I think I met husband #1 at Katsucon 3 (me in costume!) Or was it 2? It must've been 2, that was my first con and I had no costume. ;_;

I call him Rich and refer to him as Pocky since there are so many at Otakon ^_^

You look eerily familiar. I've probably seen you at a con someplace. I used to attend a ton while I was young and stupid and had a disposable income.

Anyway, we should probably take this off of Orikes LJ. ^_^

Oops, I've been hitting "reply" from email and forgot where we were. Ang, thanks for hosting a couple of overly-chatty party crashers! :D

FAH! No worries. It was fun reading the chatter. And hey, it's pretty cool seeing how small the world really is.

The world only _appears_ to be small because a select group of people are STALKING YOU ZOMG ONOZ

... I make this joke under the assumption that nobody is stalking you right now, of course... o_o

Well, I've got a few scary fans of my sims stories, but I don't think any of them know where I live, so it's all good! :D

OF COURSE I don't really putz around at work. That would just be.. evil of me. Right? I'm highly productive 100% of the time! Even when there's absolutely nothing of importance to do. :)

I was very amused by the video. I liked the Friends reference.

"Come on, I hope you have five friends."
".. I had five friends once."

Sarah Silverman wins at life, it is known. That's a good video. Although voting campaigns always inevitably remind me of that South Park Episode. I believe that there is at least one European country, I want to say Belgium or Luxembourg but don't quote me on that, where voting is mandatory and you receive a fine if you don't vote.

Glad to hear the BC is coming along, If it's Saturday it will be something to look forward to when I get back to the UK :)

I don't really know Sarah Silverman all that well, but she definitely wins at life for this one. She cracked me up. Ellen did too, but she's been known to do that. :)

A-freakin-men!! I just posted it on MySpace!!

As far as your bachelorette challenge. Yeah, we can give you till Monday, but then we're going to have to start taking points away from your overall grade...snicker.

Seriously, anything you do is worth the wait. I'll be stoked to see it pop up on my blackberry even though I won't actually get to read it until I get back from SC.

You have myspace? Ooo, I'm curious.

Noooo... not points away from my grade!!! If I don't have it up by Saturday night, I'm going to be very, very disappointed in myself. I really want to have it up now, but that whole writing thing is in the way.

Have fun with your shower in SC. :)

It's good whenever, you know that. And whenever you almost slip up, I just mentally go "lalala I know nothing." Plus I'm being unbelievably slow myself at the moment. But I'll be relieved when I can, um, officially know what happened.

Yay BC! I am more than willing to wait for extra plotty goodness. And of course there is the part of me that is worried that my favorite bachelor won't win so I will be all sad. :(

The video was fun. I loved Ellen and Halo 2 dude the most. Although Sarah Silverman and her bra were highly amusing.

The video is funny, but the first two minutes or so did give me a knee-jerk stubborn "I'LL show YOU for trying to use reverse psychology on ME! I WON'T vote!" reaction, even though I've already registered and even read through the leaflet telling me the difference between the candidates for Appeals Court. I WILL be voting, even though I don't usually like to do what people tell me to. Especially celebrities.
