I have today off, which is a very nice thing indeed. I've mostly been puttering at the new neighborhood, but eventually I decided I should probably head out and take care of some errands. While I was out, I stopped at Best Buy and picked up Mansion & Garden Stuff.
I figured I would install it now before I get too far into making the sims for the neighborhood. Upon arriving home, I set about backing up everything I had so far and even went so far as to start putting the disc in when I realized that I was forgetting one crucial issue.
Nothing is updated for it yet. Specifically, SimPE is not updated for it yet. And I still need that to finish up the transfer of sims (I'm not going to write down all their interests and such when I can just pop open two instances of SimPE and compare old and new neighborhoods).
Crap on a stick.
Well, I've got this shiny new box on my desk winking at me as I grumble and continue plugging away at the new hood. I will have those new hairstyles. I will have them!

And while I don't want to discount problems anyone is having or forgive bugs that really should have been fixed before release, but there tends to be a Chicken Little effect with Sims2 stuff. A few people have a problem, complain really loudly, and suddenly the community has their pitchforks and torches pointed in EA's direction again.
