Okay, so I just finished 'Half-blood Prince'. ARGH!!

Of course the damn book made me tear up at the end. I'm a sap to begin with and there are some tough scenes there at the end. ARGH!

So now, I've got questions that won't be answered until she finishes writing the next book, which probably won't happen for another two years.

Okay, so I was pretty sure who was going to die when Dumbledore and Harry went off to find the Horcrux. I didn't know how or why, but somehow I knew that Dumbledore was the one. I'd always thought that he would be one of the casualties eventually, but it still took me hard when it happened.

And of course, that opens up so many questions about Snape. Was Dumbledore truly begging Snape to kill him? And for what purpose? Just to make sure Harry believed that Snape was evil? Or is Snape truly evil and took advantage of the situation.

My thoughts? Snape is not evil and was as forced into killing Dumbledore as Harry was in feeding Dumbledore the potion on the underground island. Throughout his flight from the school with Harry chasing him, he never once took the opportunity to harm Harry, which I think he would have, no matter what Voldemort declared about Harry's death being his. If Snape was truly evil, he could have hurt Harry bad. Not to mention he stopped Harry several times from casting some of the unforgiveable curses.

If I had read the book a bit slower, I probably would have picked up on Snape being the half-blood prince. Duh on my part.

Anyway... Now what to read. *sigh* :)

I agree with you about all that. We'll have to talk more when I have more time!

Did you like the book on the whole?

I loved the book as a whole. Was definitely not quite as depressing as the previous book had been. Even with Dumbledor's death making me cry, I didn't quite get that frustrated, helpless feeling I got from reading the previous book.

We definitely need to chat about it. :)
