I've had a chance to play the Fall rotation among some houses. I was debating on how to do this since a couple of chronological things caused me to second guess myself.

First, Star was the first Gen 5 kid born in the neighborhood. By the order I was playing houses, though, Jacob was going to grow up into teen first. This made me hesitate. In the end, I decided it'd be close enough for horseshoes and sims playing.





Jacob Thayer, first gen 5 teen of the neighborhood. He's a popularity sim with the LTW to reach his golden anniversary. I think having two family sim parents really affected him. I may throw Family as his secondary depending on how he acts. Right now he's all about the friendships and his little brothers.

I also had an opportunity to play Miranda and Dean's house. You know what this means, right?

I did break down and cheesecake Miranda. They had such a hard time getting pregnant the first time, I didn't want to take any chances. I was hoping for a boy and a girl, which I got, but I was also hoping for some red hair, which I didn't. I was also hoping for Dean's light blue eyes, but then I realized that Miranda is probably dkblue/dkblue and there was no chance the kids would get light blue. I have to double check, but I don't think she's carrying the green recessive from Christian.



Ash, right now, looks a lot like his mommy. I have a feeling he's going to look a lot like his Uncle Elijah when he grows up, unless some of Dean's features sneak in there when he gets older. Ava, on the other hand, looks A LOT like her daddy. Right now she looks a little ... odd. I have a feeling she's going to grow into her features pretty well. She'll probably look like her aunt Deanna or Drusilla, which is not a bad thing.

Miranda and Dean are trying for another. CONSTANTLY. But they're not doing any better the second time than they were the first time. During the Fall rotation, they probably tried about six times. Only once did they roll low enough to actually try for baby and when the actual attempt came in, they rolled 91. GAAAAAH! This is almost worse than them actually throwing me another lullaby right away.

Anyway, I just had to share these two and Jacob. :)

Doesn't she, though? I about died when I saw both of them turn into toddlers. I saw Ash first, then Ava. And she had a horrible hair style to start with, so she looked like this lumpy little boy.

Actually, in some ways, she reminds me a bit of some of your Vetinaris. It'll probably fade as she gets older, but right now, something about the nose makes me think of the Vetinari nose.

I'm dying to see Star as a teen, but Jacob is very handsome ofc. I love that he got a traditionally Family want. Do you have one of those hacks that mixes up the LTWs, or is golden anniversary also an option for Pop sims?

Ava does look a lot like Dean. She'll probably grow into it. And awww, Ash is precious. It'd be amusing if he looks odd when he's older and Ava's like the neighborhood beauty.

Also, perfect name choice is perfect.

Shhh... You weren't supposed to remember that. :) I'm probably going to work it into the plot once I picked up on how hard a time they were having.

Jacob's cheeks are a little chubby, but for the most part, I think he's very handsome. He got a nice blend of Jeremiah and Meadow's features. I've got a hack that spreads out LTWs. It tends to be based more on interest or 'legacy'. It's how knowledge sim Brody ended up with the LTW to top the business career track (that was the track his granpa was in).

I actually don't know nothin' 'bout Supernatural other than I want to know. THe names came from a list Stacie gave me from the show. :)

Geebus Ava seriously looks like her Dad. Although I'm guessing those are Dean's cheekbones on Ash?

Sorry to be ignorant but what are they named after? I imagine it's a supernatural thing but I just started watching the series today with my Miranda (hence the being way to hyped up) and so obviously I'm still a bit clueless.

So wait, Golden anniversary is a Pop LTW too? You know for two aspirations that are supposedly non compatible Popularity and Family seem to be fairly similar signs to me, I'm just saying.

The names are from Supernatural, but I don't know the show well enough to say what the characters are like. I got a list of names from Stacie and chose from that. :)

Golden Anniversary is definitely a family sim want, but I've got a hack that makes LTW's make more sense fort he individual sim. They're based more on interests and 'legacy'. In other words, they're more likely to choose a LTW that a relative has. It explains why I've had three generations out of four in the military (Taylor, Zoey, and Miranda).

Precious, precious, precious!! Although looking at Ash, I think that he'll pick up some of Dean's bone structure when he grows up which might include the Whedonberry Signature Forehead Dent. Ava is actually much cuter than Deanna, Dean, or Dru were (I leave Derri out. He was always pretty.), but she's definitely got her Daddy's mouth. I can't figure out where her nose is from, though. Warning: the Whedonberry mouth is wicked hard to find the right lipstick for. I've found that the glosses do the best. Dean probably screwed over the chance for red hair with his double blond genes, but at least they'll always be smiling :]

I think of the four Thayer brothers, Noah is going to be the heartbreaker. Jacob is probably the best blend of Meadow and Jeremiah, though.

There should be a chance for red hair with a blond/blond red/blond pairing. At least, I'd hope. (Oh, by the way.. one of the kids carries Dean's recessive skin color :)

There's a reason you didn't see lots of pictures of Dean, Deanna, and Dru as toddlers. They were kind of scary looking, to be honest. Ugly ducklings that grew into swans.

I agree that Ava will probably grow into her features a bit. It looks like Ash has a few oddities too, but most likely he'll grow into them too. Are either of the twins recessive for red hair?

Jacob is a very nice blend of his mom and dad. I still think Noah's going to turn out to be the looker of the family, but Jacob's a close second (Caleb and Aaron both got their dad's mouth which would look lovely on girls, but is a little big on boys). We'll see when all the boys teen up, though. Caleb's due to teen up in winter, and then the twins will probably teen up in Spring or late winter.

I definitely think Ava will grow into her features. I'm betting she'll be oddly pretty when she smooths out. :)

The duck shrit is awesome. I debated for a while on which outfit to put him in. There's so many nice choices with the EPs and SPs now. :)

I'd love to get one more Whedonberry baby. I cheered and scared my roommate when they rolled low enough to actually try today. Then they go and roll a 91 on the actual attempt. Le sigh. :)

Is it me, or does Jacob look like Micah? I don't know, but I saw a resemblance there.

Ash and Ava!! They're sort of like Alpha and Beta-- One had the skintone of one parent and the facial structure of the other, and vice versa. And I'm sure Ava will grow into Dean's face. Perhaps she'll look like Drusilla or Deanna?

I love all the Thayer boys. I was worried when Jeremiah and Meadow started pumping out the kids (and they're still trying for more - luckily they don't stand much of a chance), but I really like all the boys.

It's because Dean likes the trying so much. I guarantee it.

Seriously, though, could it be because they started having them later in life than Shelby and Elijah? Don't the odds of conception go down as you get further into the adult lifespan? Or did you age Miranda back so she'd be the right age younger than Elijah when she got back from the BC?

I actually ran into a bit of an issue with that. I used to use Two-Jeff's age hack, which took the extra days platinum is supposed to tack onto elders and tacked them onto adulthood. I liked how long it extended adulthood, but hated how short it made the elder years. So, I took it out after all the gen fours had graduated... except Miranda.

When I got her and Dean back in the hood, I took a look at their days left and realized I'd screwed up. So, both of them got some time tacked onto their days so they're more in line of where they should be compared to the rest of the neighborhood.

So, a long story short, age shouldn't be a problem. :)

Dang Ava looks like her Dad :) They're both adorable. I'm glad you cheese caked them. What are their odds for tob and for conception at the moment? I'm guessing they're at 40 or less to try unless you gave them family secondaries which might nudge them up to 50. One the twins kiddify the odds will drop another 15 points for each child. Might need to raise the risky rates.

It was odd, when the twins were infants, it was 30, but the moment they turned into toddlers, it went back up to 40. I don't know what the get pregnant chance is.

Y'know, now that I think about it, the first pregnancy was actually risky woohoo too. Does Risky Woohoo pregnancies ever happen in bed, or just on couches? I've only seen them once or twice, and I think both times the couples were on a couch.

I think I will up the risky chances, though. Just a little.

I can confirm that Risky's are possible in bed. Denise and Dane's son Eustace was a bed Risky. I think that Risky odds are raised when not in bed though I'm not sure by how much.

Toddler aged children have the smallest odds decrease. I want to say that it's: Infant -25/Toddler -20/Child -35. It's probably assumed that the sims wouldn't really want to have back to back babies and prefer to space them out a little bit.

I'll tell ya though when I want a Risky I never see one, they only happen when I least expect it.

Do you know off hand what default risky woohoo is set at? If I raise it, I don't want to go insane, and if I remember right, it doesn't tell you what the default percentage is.
