Well, this is a bit distressing. One of my Pseudo chapters is missing from the exchange.

I posted the thread on Boolprop about placeholders, so I decided to go through my story page and see who I had used as a placeholder. When I got towards the end of the Pseudo chapters, I realized my numbers were off. Looking closer, I realized there was no Chapter 4.4 on the page.

WTF.

I double checked my archive folder, and I did indeed do a Chapter 4.4 It was where Elijah proposed to Shelby, so fairly significant relationship wise, even if not plotty wise. HOpping to my page on Boolprop, I saw the link on my thread, so I clicked on it. The exchange says 'Hidden Asset'.

WTF!?

I haven't received any warnings for inappropriate content, and I certainly don't think there was anything in that update that was out of line and would cause it to be pulled. I'm trying not to be upset about this, and I hope it's just a glitch, but still. I posted on the BBS with a politely worded 'WTF' question, but still.

One thing that has me confused, is how long has it been gone? No one has said anything to me, even though I've gotten several 'I just read your story' guest book signings. Argh. Well.. hopefully this will work out okay.

Oh god, I hope that this will all work out. I was looking at chapters at around 12 PM today, and I saw it was there. Now it's not. D: Perhaps someone obnoxious reported the nekkid picture of Kyle?

I think it might be the picture of Kyle. What's stupid is that he's in the far distance, you can barely see him, AND the story has been up since 2/11/08 without a problem.

Hopefully one of the Maxoids responds to me.

It was online a couple weeks ago at least, because I read it. I hope it wasn't "reported" (if that's even the case for the exchange) or anything like that. And I hope the mods reply to you pretty soon! Maybe it's just a glitch, as you said.

According to Honorkid, it was there at noon today, so... it's really weird that it would happen and I would notice it like that. I haven't looked at my old chapters in a while.

Something like this happened to me not too long ago. The first chapter of the Apocachoc is a "hidden asset" now, but I have no idea WHY. I didn't get any warnings. I tried to contact a few of Sim Masters and Maxoids but it has been over a month and I still haven't heard back from any of them. You know, some of the jokes I made were off-color and I used some toe-the-line "curse words" but nothing that is specifically against the rules. If it was just something I needed to change I wouldn't mind, but since I don't know what was wrong with it how am I supposed to fix it?! Anyway, I'm slowly copy-pasting the chapter onto a new lot's story editor so I can re-upload it. What I'm saying is: I feel for you, but don't expect any help from the dumbutts in charge of the TS2 website.

I'm going to try and get them to reinstate the original. Partly because I'm OCD about some things, and I really really want all my stories to be uploaded in order. :}

If I don't hear anything by Tuesday (when I leave for GenCon), I'll follow your tute and upload from a new lot.

AHAHA, thank you! Luckily I sorted out all the pictures a long time ago so finding them all will be pretty easy. I just need to stick them back in the game's picture folder for upload, then. Thanks again, that's brilliant.

Uh oh, you should probably also sign a SimMaster guest book with the question I think Annubis(?) is one that people on one of the sites I visit feel is a good contact. I'd say sign a Maxiod book but most of them have their guest books hidden.

How do I find one of the SimMasters? I could find Maxoids, but I wans't sure how to find a SimMaster. I left a note in MaxoidMel's guestbook, but... I don't know if that'll get a response. I'm going to MAKE someone respond to me, though. This is silly.

Go to simpages view then on the left hand side there's a search feature type in SimMaster you'll have to hunt for the actual SimMaster's pages but I'm pretty sure that anyone who's name is SimMaster(whatever) is an actual SimMaster and not just someone that named themselves that. Trick is to then find one that hasn't hidden their guest book and that is active enough to read things. Conversely the BBS for posts authored by SimMaster and clicking view my simpage will get ya to them as well.

Huh. That is weird. I wonder if it had anything to do with that person. . .and it got "reported," though I don't have any idea why that one. I actually got paranoid and checked SC but nothing has been hidden, which is good because if SC gets pulled for content we're ALL gonna have to migrate.

I remember both 4.4 and the first chapter of the Apocachocalypse and I'm genuinely puzzled as to what, if anything, could be considered offensive, so perhaps it really was a boob-up.

I'm fairly certain that it's probably the picture of Kyle getting into a hot tub nekkid. It's the ONLY thing that might be considered questionable in the whole update (I went through the pics I have in my archive to be sure). The thing is, the shot has him in the distance AND the story had been up since 2/11/08. For it to get flagged now... Yeesh.

Just to be safe, though, I went back into the BC Day 2 update and put a bit of pixelation over Lancelot's butt. I think it loses some of its humor that way, but bleh.. better that than the whole thing goes away.

Too bad. That is a high-quality butt there. Also, I think it's more of a humor butt than a smexxy butt, if you follow what I'm saying, but still, better be safe than sorry.

Oh no that's awful, you must be so annoyed. I've been slowly catching up, so only read it a couple of weeks ago, and I can't remember anything in it that could be considered inappropriate. If it is because of a nekkid distant Kyle, well that's just ridiculous: I've seen far worse on the exchange, and as you say, why has it taken so long for anyone to notice it?

My thinking is that if it has been hidden because of something inappropriate then you should have been informed so that you 1 know why the chapter has been removed, and 2 can make any changes necessary before re-uploading it.

I really hope that you manage to get this sorted soon.

Well first of all, that really sucks an AC/DC song. They're spazzing over a picture of a sim's butt? Seriously, it's not like kids who read it are going to be traumatized. Everybody has a butt!

Until SMAnubis responds, you probably should find a good place to store 4.4. If you've kept the story in a Word document (or something like that), you can upload it to a filesharing service so readers can download it to read it. It's better than nothing ;)

I hope you can figure out what's going on soon. If they took it down for some reason, I can't believe they wouldn't tell you about it. Yeah, in the end they own everything, but it's still only polite to say something about it.
