With the whole car shopping thing this weekend, I didn't get too much done on the update. I did get some simming in, but it was more to relieve stress than actually work on an update. Hopefully I'll get my head moving in the right direction soon.

That said, as I was poking around in my pictures for the next Pseudo update, I came across this picture.

"Mom and Dad, I know you're going to be all gross and mushy and stuff no matter what I say, but do you HAVE to do it in my pancakes?"

It means he's gaining enthusiasm in the Culinary Hobby. They can get that just from cooking and eating, so if it's your sim's gifted hobby, they're all set.

For Thaco, though, it's just a residual since his gifted Hobby is sports and his other primary hobby he's gained is Gaming.

Great picture!

And PB - Thaco is gaining enthusiasm in the culinary hobby by eating.

Poor little guy! :D

And their hands must be sticky from the pancake syrup! I don't like when my hands get sticky after I eat something very sweet, like an icecream cone.

Considering how mean Thaco is, he probably is. :)

One of the other pictures I have of him has him cheating at chess with his mom. He's also a paper stealer in the neighborhood.

The sad thing is... I could see that happening.

Followed immediately by "EW! I got syrup on my hands!"

Chris 'n' I are a bit mushy still even after almost 3 years of marriage.

Nothing wrong with a little mush! Even after 30 years of marriage, hopefully. :) Just.. try and avoid the syrup. ;)

This picture is really funny! I like how's he getting Cooking Enthusiasm even though he's (obviously) not currently eating.

That's such a sweet picture :)

Though a terrible waste of pancakes, obviously.

This question should show you how COMPLETELY out of the loop I've been: what's "Pseudo"?

Judging by what I see in other posts, you're using The Sims as a graphic source for a... web comic? Something? Duhrrr. Sorry! I'm clueless! ;_;

'Pseudo' is my sim story that I've been writing. :)

To make a short story long, back when Sims2 came out, this guy came up with something called the 'Legacy Challenge'. The idea is to start with one sim and take their line for ten generations. This ended up spawning a ton of stories based on the challenge. Some are more commentary based and just offer some slides of what their sims have done. Me, being who I am, started mine about 16 months ago, and couldn't possibly do it the easy way. I made mine into a huge, long, plot heavy story.

So.. The Pseudo Legacy. I called it 'Pseudo' because it doesn't follow the rules exactly and I mostly just use the legacy format as a structure. It lets me actually play the sims and tell a story using them.

I do think it is sort of like a webcomic, but a bit more long-form. It's very much based on the pictures as well as the story.

Here's probably the best place to link for the whole, though it's actually hosted on the Sims2 site: http://forums.boolprop.com/viewtopic.php?f=163&t=16949

The beginning is definitely rough and much more similar to 'standard' legacies. Around Chapter 2.3, I start getting a lot more plot centric and the style I've been using is more established. I think my best chapters are probably 3.2, 3.8, and 4.6a and b.

This has pretty much become my replacement for MU*ing. :) Now I can tell stories without having to deal with the psychosis of other players.

I figured it was something along those lines! I just didn't see any links to it in your sidebar here, on your home page, or in any entries... so I was clueless.

I'll check out that link and work my way through.

YAY for non-psychosis!

I found a place to RP in Second Life, but haven't had much success finding people as verbose as I prefer. It's mostly people hanging out in in-character costumes, you know? Eeh.

Matt keeps trying to feed into my temptation to start another MU*, and I keep reminding myself that would be insane and I already have more than enough projects kthx.
