I should have posted this last week, and I’m not sure why I didn’t since it was most definitely good news. I start a new job tomorrow. One that I’m actually looking forward to going to.
I’ll be doing retouching of photos for a local portrait studio. Their entire process is digital, so everything I do will be done in Photoshop. I’ll get to work on a big phat Mac with a tablet and other nifty gadgets. Mostly senior portraits, but they do plenty of family, wedding, and other type of portraits.
The pay is not great, and the first month will be part-time. In August I go full time. There’s also a chance that there will be lay offs after Christmas since that is the end of their busy season. I can pretty much live with all of that. My only real trepidation is rather minor and that’s the shift schedule. 7:30am is very early in the morning for this night owl. I’ll survive, but it will be a touch painful for a while.
Anyway. I’m very excited. :) And a little nervous, but that’s mostly in regards to catching the right busses to get there on time tomorrow.
