Snakes on a Motherf%!*$#n Audience!
Aug. 18th, 2006 12:57 amI went to see 'Snakes on a Plane' tonight. Honestly, it's not the type of movie I usually have any interest at all in seeing, but part of me felt the need to experience the thing the 'Blogosphere' created.
The movie is cheese. It is a B-movie just like you'd expect a B-movie to be. It doesn't take itself too seriously, but also doesn't play it too light. It was fun. The absolute BEST part, though, was the audience. To see this movie as it should be seen, you need to see it with a crowd that knows when to make noise. You cheer when your star first comes on screen, you cheer when the snakes eat their first victim, you audibly wince in sympathy when the snake kills a man in the way a man should never be killed, you clap when the pompous ass gets eaten, and you shout along with Samuel Jackson when he cites the line that would never have been in the movie if it weren't for the internet.
Audience participation is always worth it.
