Apparently the person who founded Dominos Pizza (and subsequently sold it a few years ago) has decided to found a town in Florida that will hold to strict Catholic principles, including prohibitions on the sale of pornography AND birth control.

I'm all for people standing by their religious convictions, but this whole thing just sounds like a recipe for disaster.

I saw a couple really good ideas about this over on warren ellis's site.

Someone suggested opening a porn and condom shop just outside city limits. That right there is a prescription to print money.

I still wonder if anyone has informed this guy it's illegal to do what he's suggesting?

Not to mention that welfare here will go up. :) But hey, Florida can enjoy that. What BS.

I regularly get pizza from a pizzaria that prosletizes (sp?). The pizza comes in a box covered with scripture and the menu comes with the five steps to acquiring Jesus, including a prayer for when you're ready to convert. We call it Jesus pizza.

Is it good pizza, though? If it's good pizza, I'd put up with the preaching too.
