The Mighty Hunters
Feb. 21st, 2006 01:40 pmThe mighty hunters have triumphed over the wild beast!
A mouse got in the house. This is our second in the last few weeks. This of course freaked out the roommate who was worried about the safety of the poor little critter. Not that I don’t have some sympathy for it, but it’s not a very bright rodent that decides to take up winter residence in an apartment with three cats.
My cats may be fat, they may be lazy, they may be pampered, spoiled rotten little factories of fur, but they do their job when it comes to keeping mice out of the house.

Date: 2006-02-21 08:12 pm (UTC)I actually had to say to my roommate last night, "Marnie, I'm not unsympathetic to the mouse's plight, but he is the one that chose to come into an apartment with three cats."
She was all set to go get the squirrel trap we've got and try and use that to capture the mouse.. ignoring the fact that the mouse could probably fit through the cage in that particular trap.

Date: 2006-02-21 08:27 pm (UTC)For some reason, now I am remembering the totally pathetic roadkilled deer I saw on the side of the road last week. He was all covered in snow, and when I saw that, I burst out crying in the car! Awwr!
