Random Update
Nov. 29th, 2005 10:45 pmUgh. I hate being sick. I wasn’t even that sick. Just enough to be miserable and irritated. I’m feeling much better now, so work is definitely happening tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll be able to sleep decently tonight so I don’t feel like crap in the morning.
This update is going to be a collection of seemingly random points. I think this is a leftover from the being sick part.
I got the carpet pad finally and got the rug put into the computer room. Man that was work. I had to ask for help on the ceiling tiles first, though, so thanks again Scott. I actually found the string if you wanted to help me re-hang my plant. ;)
The rug for the living room was still MIA as of Friday, so I ended up calling JC Penney to find out where it was. Apparently it had actually shipped one week after I ordered it, even though it wasn’t supposed to ship for four weeks. Of course, UPS promptly lost it. Rather than notifying JC Penney, though, they notified the manufacturer who failed to notify JC Penney to get the order fixed.
At this point, I’ll be lucky if I get the thing before Christmas. I was really hoping to have it by now so I could decorate for Christmas with the living room looking really nice. The rug right now is just nasty. Off-white and stained like mad. Ah well. I’ll survive and so will the living room and the Christmas decorations.
Speaking of Christmas, I was getting excited up until I got sick and started feeling overwhelmed. I’m actually doing well as far as presents this year. Most everything is planned out and a good chunk of the presents are already bought (Yay free shipping and sales on websites!).
What’s starting to get to me is the rest of the stuff I need to do. Christmas cards. Decorating. Christmas cookies. Must do cookies. Luckily, I do have time for this. This coming weekend I can get the house returned to normal (from being torn apart for the computer room stuff) and put the decorations up.
I have an idea of what I want to do for Christmas Cards, but I’m going to need to plan it out and get to the store to get the stuff. Cookies also need some planning. How many to make and what am I making? Chocolate chip, of course. Oatmeal chocolate chip? Mint chocolate chip? White chocolate chip? Do you see the theme here? I’ve never been a fan of ‘normal’ Christmas cookies. Oh yeah, I do have to try these caramel brownie chew things I found a recipe for too.
In other news, I’m excited about the next TPK book coming out. I’m really happy with the way the book is looking. Right now I’m just waiting on the final revisions from JT so I can finish up all the little tidbits in the book. I’m loving having a hand in the ‘gaming industry’ so to speak, even if I’m not actually coming up with the content. After this, I need to get something done as a website, and then get the forums to match. I wish my web-fu was a little stronger than it is. Ah well.
I think that’s enough rambling for now.

Date: 2005-11-30 02:10 pm (UTC)I -like- the art. I had fun working it into the book. I think it fits with the fact that these 'super villains' are definitely not the norm. I think my favorite piece is HRH.

And thus far a lot of people that have seen them, have said that's the one they like. I should be careless more often. It seems to be what the people want.
