Spring!

It's supposed to thunderstorm later on today, but on the way in to work this morning, it was absolutely beautiful. The trees are stating to bloom, the grass is growing, the flowers are coming up. The sun was shining and it was warm enough to leave my coat at home.

I often think about moving to different parts of the country, but as much as I dislike the dregs of winter, I really would miss the seasons.

Anyway. :)

I am jealous of your paid LJ account and your lovely icons. I recognize your art!

I figured that I'm using it often enough, I should probably send them a little money. Not to mention I get to play with the formatting and layout a little more. I'm actually eagerly waiting for them to release some of the new designs to play with them.

I do admit to missing seasons - real seasons. "Winter" in the Seattle area means that it goes down to the low 40s, we have misty rain, and daylight lasts about 8 hours. "Summer" means that we get temps in the mid 70s (with rare intrusions to the 80s), a fair number of sunny days (more than normal in the last few years), and 5am-9:30pm daylight.

There is still green life in the winter, and there are still times/places you want to wear long pants and a light fleece in the summer.

But it's a happy trade for the mountains and the water. :)

Seattle is one of the places I would really love to visit some day. Well, the Pacific Northwest at least. I have a feeling I would like the weather out there just fine, even if there isn't really a true winter or a true summer.

And I'd trade just about anything for water. :)

I agree about the seasons. I adore spring. Winter here seems to get longer and greyer and bleaker. But today it's beautiful. :)
