Stupid flash games. They are the bane of my existance. They draw me in and suck my brain power away until I must play them. Most of them are designed to try and entice you into buying them. You get to master a few certain levels and then are coaxed into paying money for the game to get the rest of the levels. I don't have that kind of money to spend, even if I would like to get the full game.

Crypt Raider is a little different. There's tons of levels and no stopping point trying to make you buy the game. There's also level codes which mean you can pick up where you left off. So far, I've gotten through 65 levels. Some are harder than others, but I've usually been able to crack it. The problem I've run into is that I simply can't get past level 65. I see no way to beat this level. (Code: lE5SUVG3LY4)

Anyone else out there played it?

In other news, I'm still sick, though I'm pretty sure I'm getting better. Got a call this morning from the rep at the temp agency. She'd gotten a call from Kodak concerned that I'd missed so many days already. They've had no complaints about my performance so far, so just wanted to make sure I wasn't bailing on them. Also, I think they wanted to make sure I was legitimately sick. *sigh* I worry about the job. I don't want to lose this, and she made noises about them possibly considering offering me something else after this term is up. I'm going to go in tomorrow. I made it through six hours yesterday, so maybe tomorrow I can make it through the whole ten hour day. We'll see.

Blargh. Anyway, someone help me get through Crypt Raider. ;)

Okay, with the agency and Kodak? Do this: if you've already seen a doctor, get a note from him. If not, check in with one. :)

Problem is, I have no health insurance and going to the doctor just to get a note will end up costing about $70. That's what it cost the last time I got sick and just wanted to make sure I wasn't dying.

I did mention to the agent that I didn't go to the doctors because I have no health insurance and it would cost that much. She said that was alright, and she'd tell them I didn't need a doctor's excuse. Hopefully that will be enough. She said she'd had something similar earlier in the month and to try Sudafed, 'cause that's what helped her and her husband. So... we'll see.

i think maybe you hafta get the mummy to come out, lead him down and to the left, then pass him somehow -- i did it once -- and then drop a rock on him. that will cause an explosion, which will make an opening in the wall so you can get the key. that's all i see. but i'm not sure if his explosion will be big enough.

I have no problem getting the key. That's pretty easy. I'm not 100% sure how to get the jewel by the mummy down to the goal, but I haven't gotten to that point yet (though that part does look impossible too). The part that gives me the biggest fits is the jewel right below the door. As far as I can tell, there is no way, whatsoever, to get that jewel into the hole. It gets blown up no matter what you do.

If you drop the rock onto the dynamite at the bottom of that section, it blows up that jewel. If you get the key and open the door it drops the dynamite onto the jewel and blows it up. You can't move the sand there without moving the dynamite, which there is no way to move other than blowing it up.

I've figured out every level but this one. Some it's a matter of timing, some it's just a matter of knowing how to get stuff moved around. But this one has me absolutely stumped.

Talk about happily off topic!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by. And I love Cheshire Grin. :) You guys are doing a great job with it and it's become one of my favorite trawls. I happily include the link over there, 'cause more people need to know about it. It's probably my favorite gamer comic.

Though, I do keep meaning to e-mail you guys to nudge you to update your cast page. It needs color! It needs Cyn!

Anyway. :)
