Why does the RIAA make me think of the Spanish Inquisition sketch from Monty Python?

Either way, the whole issue is one I'm on the fence about. I know the file swapping is piracy, but at the same time, I think the recording industry is missing the boat here. They're dragging their feet against the tide of technology (ooh that sounds pretentious). File swapping isn't going to stop. Every time they shut down one program, another pops up. It's too easy, and even slapping fines on all these kids they're targetting isn't going to stop it completely.
