Okay, so it's my birthday this Sunday. I decided that I wanted to go out to dinner. So, I began to inform my friends of what I wanted. When I told the gaming group, it was no problem. They immediately started encouraging me to pick out the place I wanted to go, no questions asked. I then started on telling my older circle of friends.

For most it's no issue. Doug and Cathy may not be able to go because it's short notice and they are very broke right now. Tara and Rudy can come, but it's just a question of whether or not they get a babysitter for the girls or bring them with.

Dave... Dave hasn't answered my e-mail yet. Typical. Since he canceled Christmas, I'm doubting I'll see him until Spring thaws us all out. Even if it is expected of him, it's no less frustrating that he's like this.

What really torqued me off, though, was Marnie. I simply cannot tell her anything without her stressing about it. I could tell her that the sky was blue and she would stress about it. I told her yesterday about Sunday. I told her if she had other plans, it was okay, hoping to head off any stressing. I failed.

First, she started stressing about where it was. Then she started stressing about when it was, because she MIGHT be out at Mike's and have to drive home for this. Then she started stressing about which restaurant. Then she started stressing about how much it was going to cost. That's about when I lost it. I mean, come on. It's my birthday and I'd really rather not have to deal with her anxiety because she can't handle anything out of the ordinary. I told her to stop stressing, that if she didn't want to come then not to worry about it because I had other people who were goign to go and NOT stressing about it.

Apparently she's going now. I'm not going to worry about it, and I'll probably try and sit at the other end of the table from her so I don't have to listen to her flip out about things. Oy.

On Birthdays...

Happy pre-emptive B-Day! :)
