Holy Whacked Genetics, Batman!

So, after stressing about the missing Pseudo chapter, I realized the problem might have been a shot in that update of a nekkid Kyle's backside as he's getting into a hot tub. I left it uncensored because he's in the distance and it's just a backside. That's the ONLY thing I can think of being a problem in that update, though. The rest of it is all mostly sappy relationship or other transitional type of stuff.

With realizing that backside might have been a problem, I quickly started worrying about Day Two. The last thing I wanted to do was to get that taken down because of Lancelot's butt. So, with much regret, I went in and put a pixelated censor over his backside. It takes away some of the funny, but at least it won't get taken down now.

Updating that story required that I spend some time in the Picaso house. For the heck of it, I decided to play them for a little while. When last I played the placeholders in the neighborhood, I was causing a soap opera to happen between many of the Maxis-made sims. Trisha Traveler started having an affair with Julien Cooke. When Trent found out, she left him and moved in with Julien. Heartbroken, Trent finally returned the advances of Jessica Picaso. Jessica is a very cold family sim who prefers Trent's ample brainpower to her doofy husband's constant parade of work friends (she's got three bolts for Trent compared to one for her hubby). Together, Jessica and Trent had a quick and dirty affair in the photobooth at Crypt o'Night.

Of course, in any good soap opera, there are consequences for these actions...







The consequence for these actions turned out to be Frida Picaso. I was hoping for a blond baby and was rewarded. No hidden hair colors there. Her features are definitely a little wonky, but it's possible she may grow into them. Trent and Jessica aren't bad looking sims even if they're a little odd. But then I noticed.. what's that on the side of her head?



WTF!?!? ELF EARS!?!? Where the hell did those come from?

I doubel and triple checked. Neither Jessica or Trent are expressing elf ears. I even changed their hair styles to be sure, just in case something was hiding. Nope. Both have normal looking ears. But out of the blue, this little love child ends up with elf ears!?

Has anyone else had random elf ears pop up? Does anyone even know how to check SimPE to see if it shows recessive elf ears?!?



Since I had to play the house for a few days to get through the rest of Jessica's pregnancy and wait to see what Frida looked like, I ended up fulfilling one of little Georgia's wants.

In all the time since I've had Pets, I don't think I've ever had a cat and a bird in the same house. I never knew they would do this. The Picasos don't own Kobe here, but I had Matthew greet him just in case he fulfilled the 'Meet Someone New' want. He doesn't. BUT.. he does like to terrorize the bird who squaks and sheds feathers everywhere as the cat watches him menacingly.

I kept wondering what comedy gold might lie in letting the bird out of his cage...



Eventually, I did fulfill that 'Meet Someone New' want with SimNerd here, who happened to be a walk-by. Ahbjeet there was a work friend.

"Thanks Ori. Thanks a lot. Not only did you put me in their contact list, you also infected me with a broken Chess Arm. Next you're going to start showing off pictures of me heartfarting everyone."

None of those. Yet. :)

I'm still hoping that things work out okay for the missing chapter. I've got a message on the bbs and guest book signings in to a Maxoid and a SimMaster (thanks Jenn for pointing me towards an active one).

Cross your fingers for me.

Jessica may have the Joshua Rueban face as a female which Robin told me expresses elf ears as toddler child and maybe teen but then doesn't express them as adults. Joshua is one of the father's of my wtf did the elf ears come from kid Erika. Hopefully Frida will grow into her jaw ;}

I'm hoping Frida grows into her face. She's not horrible looking, but that jaw is definitely a little scary. The elf ears kill me, though. I'd never bred Joshua Ruben, so I'd never seen that with him. Now I kinda want to breed him in.

That's so odd about the missing chapters. I would have been very surprised if it had been about the naked backside because Kyle isn't your only naked hottubber is he, and I could have sworn there has been other naked backside pics of Parker Parker etc. No?

Hehe Pollock. That's cute. I'm guessing the Picaso family came with Free Time? (And is intentionally spelt with one s so Maxis doesn't get sued by Paloma Picasso or something?)

Joshua Rueban ad an adult and young adult has no elf ears, but as a toddler, child, elder and I think teen he does. Maybe Jessica or Trent has a face like that.

The butt might be what got it hidden, but I think if a story has inappropriate content they just delete it. At least you have a back-up of the chapter so you can reupload it if you need to.

Yay for chess arm glitch and not heart-farting! I will so take Wonky Arm over Heart-Fart Everything In Sight. I forget how I solved Cam's Chess Arm Glitch. I think I made him play chess again, and canceled it when he wasn't reaching forward.

I had reason to go into SimNerd's house after this, and while she was still in the clown suit, her arm wasn't glitched. I know a 'force error' will fix it, in addition to playing chess again, but I guess changing lots also resets it enough to fix it.

In my 'hood, the families are pretty organized. Totally opposite to the soap opera you're running. :D I haven't played the Travellers much, but I've already played the Picasos. The good thing is that Jessica isn't so much a cold fish to her husband.

Just to help solve the mystery I found Jessica in my CAS files while creating townies and she does have elf ears as a child. I then changed her over to a male to see if she has the same face as Joshua Rueban, she doesn't but her face looks pretty well tweaked though so it's probably from the same base template.

Word of advice watch out for the nose on any male Jessica spawn! The nose is a bit freaky stabby death nose meets Lillard squish or something very pointy but turns down like a crones nose.

Go to the settings button and click on Camera Settings. There will bee an option that says Special Event Enabled or Disabled. Click it to disabled.
