Lil This and That

I have a picture on my wall that was drawn by a friend from a very long time ago. It's a group picture of all of our characters from a super hero game we were playing, but it was drawn as if all the characters had been turned into little kids. It's pretty darn cute and it's a prized possession.
I've got a fond sense of amusement for the whole concept of adults being turned into little kids suddenly. When I was very little, the Lil Archie comics were a favorite, and then when I got older, even my beloved X-men did it. Gotta love the X-Babies.
Anyway, when the inspiration hit me to do what I did in the legacy, well.. I just had to.

"You're going to pay for this, you realize."
I absolutely LOVED turning almost all the simselves into kids. What's funny is how much they still look like their adult selves. There's something very distinct about each one that's still there even as a little kid. I also had a lot of fun picking out outfits for each of them, trying to keep in line with their personality and what I thought they would wear.
('Janice' seems to have gone missing from my downloads folder. That is Chicken Sensei running past there, but the chicken hat is nowhere to be found. I haven't gotten around to searching for it again either.)

There were only three simselves who did not get changed into kids. My simself was exempt, of course, but Sarah and Chris also escaped. The last time I played their house, Sarah decided to prove how much of a family sim she was, so she got pregnant again. Of course, it had to happen as Thaco was a teenager and almost ready to head off to college with his buddies Alpha and Beta. *sigh*

I had forgotten this podium was stashed away in the basement. Professor Butters was kind enough to remind me of it.
I'm getting a kick out of all the child-sized simselves, but seeing Professor Butters act like a little kid makes me crack up constantly. The way most people write Professor Butters' simself (myself included) is very serious and mature. It's fun to see that turned on its ear.

The bad side of this is that I know have over a dozen kids I have to make do their homework. They're actually split up between three houses, but storywise, Godfrey is in charge of all of them. In his house, he had seven he had to teach how to do homework. He keeps rolling me career wants now, but I keep telling the guy he's got to hang in there a little longer.

Renee still scares me.
Even as a child, that brow tells you that she'll hurt you if you get in her way. Brr.

But then, of course, there's cuteness overload when it comes to other simself kids. Marina and De, are best friends. In my mind, it made sense that they'd dress similarly and wear their hair alike. Besides, that hairstyle is adorable and needs to be used as often as possible.

Date: 2008-06-10 05:57 pm (UTC)I debated on varying the ages, and making the Prof a teenager and the like. I actually aged everyone down to toddler and then grew them up as kids, so as to avoid the dreaded F and social worker problem. I eventually decided to make the two teen simselves (you and Anabanana) toddlers and the rest kids.
I wanted to see if anyone would notice your simself back there, so I didn't pull out a close-up pic, even though your toddler simself is really adorable. :}
