MU* Character Meme

fleetfootmike and it’s specifically related to MU*ing. Basically, write down a list of 12 of your characters you’ve played online. Don’t look at the questions first. Once you’ve got your list, go through and answer the questions.

7. Caioma, from Aether (Halfbreed member of the City Guard)

01. Who would make a better college professor, #6 or #11?
Definitely #6. Oriane was a scholar after all.
02. Do you think #2 is hot? How hot?
Haldi was a thirteen year old seamstress. Cute was a more appropriate descriptor.
03. #12 sends #8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
Well, Parker was an investigative reporter for a tabloid, so she’d probably send Haley after some juicy information on Timewriter, the supervillain Haley duped by pretending to sell candy for marching band.
04. What is or would be #9's favourite book?
Hehe. That’s so appropriate. Kestrel’s favorite book would probably have been ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ which was what was used in-game to teach her how to read. She was illiterate when I started playing her, after all.
05. Would it make more sense for #2 to swear fealty to #6, or the other way around?
Haldi was a simple seamstress, and pretty much only the color of her hair and wings prevented Oriane from being declared Empress, so #2 would declare fealty to #6.
06. For some reason, #5 is looking for a roommate. Should (s)he share a studio apartment with #9 or with #10?
Definitely #9. If Jezebel and Kestrel were roommates, they would have an absolute blast and the city would not be safe. After all, you mix a Satyr musician and a Psychic call girl and something interesting is going to happen. Madison, #5, would have gone into shock, probably.
07. #2 , #7 and #12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Well, if Caimoa and Celomenda could get Haldi to shut up for two seconds, they’d probably have an interesting conversation on the nature of being a halfbreed trying to suceed against the prejudices of society. Haldi would be a little left out of that conversation, but would probably have offered to design them some new outfits. As for where they would go, if you’re going to mix Pern and Aether, the trio probably would have gone to a restaurant/street vendor either in the Rialto in Haven or the bridge market in Parnassus.
08. #3 challenges #10 to a duel. What happens?
That’s a tough call. Robi was a go-ganger from Shadowrun, and Madison was a werewolf from the Anitaverse. Of course, Robi would win on the aggressive end because Madison was actually very passive for a wolf, but if put into the position to fight, she imght win. They’d both probably get hurt, but Madison would come out on top but let Robi live.
09. If #1 stole #8's most precious possession, how would she/he get it back?
Well, Haley would basically ask for the help of the rest of the Teen Machine and figure out how to track down a Pernese greenrider. Karitha might be able to go wherever she needs to (within reason), but given enough time, Haley could get whatever help she needed to get it back from her contacts.
10. Suggest a title for a story in which #7 and #12 both attain what they most desire.
"Crossover". Caioma wanted nothing more than to be accepted for what she was and be able to do her duty to the city of Haven, but it was constantly a struggle against the prejudice of the purebreeds against her. Parker, on the other hand, was a golden child, always successful at what she set her mind to, but also always wanting more. She wanted to be on the other side of the fence with all the freaks.
11. What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted #4 and #1 to work together?
There would need to be something that both Dale and Karitha needed. It would have to be some goal that crosses the purposes of Karitha’s duty to her Weyr and Dale’s duty to her pack.
12. If #7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
I’d probalby drive Caioma nuts by being too flighty and disorganized. Caioma was disciplined and quiet. I am so not that.
13. If you could command #3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
Give me a ride on her bike.
14. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw #11?
Unfortunately, no. She was drawn by an extremely talented artist on AetherI, but I lost touch with her ages ago.
15. If #2 had to choose sides between #4 and #5, which would it be?
Probably Dale, #4. Dale would likely be more protective of Haldi, whereas Jezebel would be trying to get her into trouble.
16. What might #10 shout while charging into battle?
GRRRRRRRR!
17. If you chose a song to represent #8, which song would you choose?
"Falling for the First Time" by Barenaked Ladies
18. #1, #6, and #12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?
Oh, definitely Parker. She was much more selfish than the other two. Oriane would defer to the other two, and while Karitha might be a bit irritated with Parker, she wouldn’t start a fight about it.
19. What might be a good pick-up line for #2 to use on #10?
"Oh wow, you’ve got like the most amazing color eyes and I know just the right shade of purple to compliment them and you should wear things that are a little more flattering to your figure because you’re really kinda cute and...." (Haldi was a babbler)
20. What would #5 most likely be arrested for?
Indecency.
21. What is #6's secret?
First that she was the Emperor’s mistress. Second, that after he disappeared and was presumed dead by the rest of the world, she went searching for him and eventually found them. They set themselves up on a quiet farm raising Griffons for House Tritonides and lived happily ever after.
22. If #11 and #9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
Oh, definitely #11. While Kestrel might have been named for a bird, Celomenda could actually turn into one and fly wherever she needed to go.
23. If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of #7 or #8?
Probably #7. Caioma was a seasoned veteran and essentialy intended to be a tough as nails cop. Of course, Haley could hold her own as well, she just didn’t look like much of a threat.
24. #1 and #9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by #4's sinister secret organization. #11 volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that he/she is actually a spy for #4. Meanwhile, #4 has kidnapped #12 in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of #5, they seek out #3, who gives them what they need to complete their quest. What title would you give this fic?
"Girls Night Out", since obviously, this plot happening would entail all of them escaping my imagination and going on a vacation.
