I’ve wanted to get a larger cage for Pippin since I got him. The cage I have is a loaner from some friends and I’d like to be able to give it back to them at some point. While it’s an ‘okay’ sized cage for one chinchilla, I can’t really think about getting a buddy for him with this cage.
After doing some research, I decided the cage I wanted to get was a Marshall Mansion. One of the small, local pet stores was carrying it for $199, which is comparable to what I’d spend buying it online and having to pay for shipping. The last three times I’ve gone into the shop, they’ve had the cage available. It’s also nice being able to support a local store that I know cares about the pets they sell and support.
Yesterday, I go in to actually buy the thing. I got some money for my birthday and I decided to put it towards the cage. With some friends and a vehicle big enough to carry the beast of a cage, I go in to buy it... and learn that they don’t have any. And it’ll be two weeks before another one comes in.
Of course they don’t have it when I actually have the money to buy it. Now I’m going to pout and try very hard to refrain spending the money in other places while I wait for the cage to come in.
