Today Was a Good Day

orikesI like the zoo. Even when it's all torn up with construction, it's fun to go and see the animals. Especially when you go with a three year old who's even more excited to see the animals than you are. Raina's a trip. She kept telling me how we were going to see the Alien Dragon. No clue what that is, but it made for an amusing story. The baby, Lorelei, was cute too, but she was more interested in the people. And waving at them since that's her newest trick. She'd point her chubby little finger at someone and then do a little half-wave with a smile.
My interview this morning went okay, I think. But then again, who knows. I was figuring they might call right away and let me know, but I guess not. Maybe I made a bad impression. When I got home, though, I got another call from a job that sounded pretty interesting, doing photo retouching in Photoshop. They did a little pre-interview interview and said that if they decide to interview me, they'd call next week sometime probably. Here's hoping. The little stash of money I had from a couple of weeks ago is almost gone, so I hope I get something soon. I don't want to be begging from anyone else.
I hate hate HATE not having a car. Can I say again how much I despise being without a vehicle? There is so much that I simply cannot do because I don't have a car. While finding a job is difficult no matter what, at least that wouldn't be a strike against me in the eyes of the interviewers. I know that's a problem and has cost me some of the jobs I've interviewed for. Dammit.
Anyway. Overall, today was a good day.
