orikesUsually my brother is the violent one. This time, though, I probably would have taken my fist to someone's face if I'd been at the hospital. On Sunday they made it seem like open heart surgery was going to happen RIGHT NOW!!!!111!!!1 Got everyone in the family in a right panic. Then on Monday it was, "Well, maybe we'll do it this week."
On Tuesday, we were told she was going in for an angiogram to check out her arteries. If her arteries were bad they were going to go ahead and do a bypass and the valve whatever right then and there. I didn't sleep that night and had a miserable day yesterday.
Come to find out, her arteries are just fine, so they SENT HER HOME! ARGH! They're not going to do the surgery until after the holidays now. It still needs to be done, but it's "Not urgent." YEah, that's a quote from one of her doctors. Stupid doctors.
While I dealt with the stress of it all, my poor brother actually missed four days of work because of this. And that's on top of the days he'd planned on missing to be up here for my cousin's surprise birthday party.
Anyway. I'm relaxing a little bit now. And turned my violent instincts towards anyone who even thinks about buying my mother cigarettes.
