Muppet Generation in Mourning

I am somewhat ashamed to say I didn't know this man's name. I've always proudly touted myself as part of the Muppet generation. To hell with Generation X or whatever the hell they want to call it. I'm of the Muppet Generation. I was born the year Sesame Street hit the air and the Muppet Show imprinted itself on my cultural psyche with indelible ink. And I cried when Jim Henson died.
But I never knew this man's name. I never looked deep enough into the credits to see the influence he had. Or to see the name and realize what it meant. He wast here from the early years with Jim Henson and he touched everything along the way. He wrote for the Sesame Street, Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock, all the movies...
While the loss might not be as visibly poignant as Jim Henson's passing, the loss is still as significant.
