I usually don't do too many memes, but I thought this one was neat.

  1. cheshire grin:
A webcomic about gamers that I was really enjoying quite a bit. It had a well balanced touch of surreal and real. The artist half of the creative team recently left, though, so I'm not sure where things stand for the strip.
  2. dominic deegan:
Another webcomic, Dominic Deegan is one of my favorites. A story based strip with a slightly odd feel, I've found it to be quite addicting. The artist/author has a great hand at characterization, story pacing, and humor.
  3. fantasy:
Well, duh. I'm a geek. I've been into fantasy probalby since I could walk. I remember my father sitting me down and reading the Hobbit to me aloud. I've been hooked ever since, both reading and roleplaying and artwork and...
  4. gu:
*gasp* Another webcomic. This one started as an EQ based single panel strip that slowly morphed into being about the gaming industry in general. I somewhat miss the days of it being just about EQ, but Woody, the creator does a great job at poking fun at the gaming industry while still obviously showing his fondness for the games and the players.
  5. kelly armstrong:
Speaking of Fantasy, here's an author that I like to read. Kelly Armstrong writes modern fantasy with werewolves, witches, etc. all dealing with modern day life. Pretty common theme, but she does a really good job on it. I *LOVE* her characters. She's also got an absolutely wonderful website with tons of short stories that are FREE!!!! to anyone who wants to read them.
  6. mutants and masterminds:
M&M is a roleplaying game for super heroes that I was introduced to a few years ago and then got to know a bit better online at Crucible City. I've started running my own game in it for my gaming group AND I'm part of TPK Productions, which is a fledgeling 'company' writing supplements for 2nd edition M&M.
  7. queen of wands:
Another webcomic! QoW has finished its run, ending on a sweet/bittersweet note. It's currently in a re-run of the series with creator commentary. I'm hoping that Aeire, the creator, will do another comic after this. We'll see.
  8. science fiction:
Fantasy's kissing cousin, is of course, Science Fiction. The two go hand in hand in my mind and while my tendency is towards fantasy, I love me a good SF series.
  9. the flipside:
Yet another webcomic! I think I read about 30 of them. This one is a manga-esque comic with a page a day posted. It's definitely got some great moments and the artwork is solid.
  10. websnark:
And finally, websnark. A blog-type-thing that talks about webcomics! And other stuff. Lots of other stuff. Seriously, if you're even remotely interested in webcomics or the like, take a look. Even if I don't always agree with what's being written (with Eric, I usually agree. With Weds, I usually look confused), I -enjoy- what's written.
