Warning: Sim Stuff Ahead
I am a weak, weak person. I told myself I wouldn't play the game until I got this next update done. I got about 30 of 125 slides written and decided to 'reward' myself. I would just play the house long enough to let Persephone and Matthew elderify.
That's it.

It's not the greatest picture to show off their elder looks, but I like it quite a bit. I think they both look wonderful. Matthew is very dignified, and I couldn't help but give him a pair of glasses to complete the look. Persephone got a new hair style. I knew I was going to change it since I wasn't going ot keep the pigtails forever, but as it turned out, I didn't like the way the pigtails look for elders. They grey was much too dark. I thought I was going to go with a Nouk pony-tail for Persephone's elder look, but in the end, I decided to use this one. The Nouk pony-tail hid too much of her face.
One thing I'm concerned about is that they dropped from having two bolts to only having one bolt. I fixed the turn-ons so they pointed at each other, but it didn't raise it. It left them at just one bolt. It was hard to get them to two bolts to begin with, so I'm a little worried at what this could lead to. Matthew has two bolts for Shelby. He's been good and he hasn't done anything other than various vacation gestures and she certainly only has eyes for Elijah, but still. I'm tempted to manually adjust his zodiac without changing his personality and see if I can artificially get them back up to a safe two bolts. We'll see. At least I don't have servos flirting with their owners in front of thier wives on their death day.
And now I explain my weakness. I realized that it was only going to be a few hours later for Shelby to give birth. And, after all, if you leave a sim pregnant for too long, it can glitch up the birth. At least, that's what I keep telling myself.
Everyone, give a warm welcome to the first official member of the fifth generation: Louise Legacina

She's got daddy's skintone and mommy's hair. I think she's also got her father's eyes, but both Shelby and Elijah may have dark blue eyes. I can't remember right now.
The naming scheme for this generation is going to be a bit personal. I'm using the middle names of family members, mostly ones I've lost. In some ways I suppose it's a bit morbid, but since I lost my mom earlier this year, it's what's stuck with me. Louise was my mother's middle name.

Date: 2008-04-27 12:39 am (UTC)Wow, it's so weird to see Matthew and Persephone as elders. They've been adults for so long. I'm gonna be so sad when they die, man.
Uh, so apparently I didn't comment on your last chapter even though I thought I did? I think I'll just wait for part 2 before getting to that.

Matthew and Persy look good as elders :)

Date: 2008-04-27 07:42 am (UTC)I got a couple good hours of writing yesterday, but then really needed to do something else. Today was the same way. I'm just over halfway done. Tonight I played the Turner house for a bit since they were also behind a bit. I think now I've got all the primary households except Legacina up to Summer. Since they were all over the map seasons wise (it didn't matter when it was always winter) I reset everyone to spring at what seemed the logical point. Now they're all ready and waiting.
Once I'm done with the update, I'll play the main house until the beginning of summer, then switch over to Ian's house. I think I'll play one rotation in each house before doing the next update after that. Of course, I still have the BC to write, so it's not like I'll be lacking for something looming over my head. :)
