Wow, we really have a lot in common. My longest relationship before I met my fiance was three months, and I came really close to dumping him at the one month mark. It turns out I had (have) some serious issues about letting anyone too close - all stemming from my father dying when I was two, and the way my mother reacted to that by kind of leaving the mothering of me up to my older sister. Once I understood this, it made it a lot easier to move past it, but I really had to fight some fears to keep Jim in my life.

There was a lot of other stuff that we have in common, too. Sometimes I really love the Internet. :)
