You really are a wonderful writer. I like how you used the fact that some of the kids know each other to jump from one house to the other. Maybe it is harder to do it in first person, but you gave each of them a distinctive voice. I particularly enjoyed Tisha's childish take on everything.
If you decide to update it, I'll be looking forward to the next part!
